The Vienna Beef Frank, the one and only, is made with rich, red bull meat, sweet brisket trimmings, and spiced according to the original 1893 recipe. Delivered frozen in a foam cooler, this 8-per-pound natural casing beef frank arrives with an internal temperature of 45°F or colder, promising an authentic "snap" when bitten.

Fully cooked, the Vienna Beef Frank can be prepared in various ways: steamed for 10 minutes in 160-180°F water, grilled or broiled for 10 minutes at 350°F, deep-fried for 2-3 minutes in high-heat oil (350°F), or microwaved for 30 seconds on high. Cooking times may vary based on the equipment used.

With a shelf life of 28 days from the date of manufacture, the Vienna Beef Frank is the original "Chicago Style" hot dog. The history of this iconic dish dates back to the Great Depression, when street cart vendors offered a delicious hot meal on a bun for only a nickel, creating a beloved culinary tradition.

The Vienna Beef Frank is nestled in a steamed poppyseed bun and topped with a wonderful combination of toppings: yellow mustard, bright green relish, fresh chopped onions, juicy red tomato wedges, a kosher-style pickle spear, a couple of spicy sport peppers, and a dash of celery salt. This unique hot dog creation, with its "salad on top" and memorable interplay of hot and cold, crisp and soft, sharp and smooth, became America's original fast food and a true Chicago institution.

Founded in 1893, Vienna Beef was established by Austrian-Hungarian immigrants Emil Reichel and Samuel Ladany, who introduced their family frankfurter recipe at the legendary Columbian Exposition/World's Fair. The hot dog was a hit, and Vienna Beef was born.
